Damage identification in steel plate using FRF and inverse analysis

Metaheuristic algorithms have known vast development in recent years. And their applicability engineering projects is constantly growing; however, deferent exploration and exploitation techniques cause the problems to favor some over others. This paper studies damage identification steel plates using Frequency Response Function (FRF) indicator detect localize healthy damaged structure. The study formulated as an inverse analysis, investigating performance of three new metaheuristic Wild Horse Optimizer (WHO), Harris Hawks Optimization (HHO), Arithmetic Algorithm (AOA). objective function based on measured calculated FRF indicators. results showed that case four damages with different severity levels presented a good challenge where HWO algorithm was shown best performance. Both convergence speed CPU time.
